There are so many ways you could stitch this gorgeous wave motif, which is why I wanted to test out every singe one for you. You can choose one stitch for the entire design, like my test stitcher did above, or you can mix and match.
My test stitcher chose the stem stitch because it's great for curves. I think her piece turned out beautifully. I just want to run my fingers over it, don't you? It reminds me of fingerprint whorls.
Want to try something other than stem stitch? Check out the image below. I tested every stitch for you, using 3 strands of thread for the test.
It's a new year and that means it's time for the club to get even cooler! You've been asking for new stitches, more intricate patterns, more options of how to customize your piece for 2019. Well, the good news is you're getting all of those!
We're starting off the year with this 'HOME' pattern because it will allow you to try out a bunch of new stitches.
You may have seen my Halloween Raven on Instagram and thought, "I want those extra feather lines!"
I created a little PDF that you can download HERE.
You're dying to know what's coming up in the club so I thought I'd give you a peek. Consider it like shaking your Christmas presents.
The weather is warming up and the trees are blooming where I live which means two things are coming up fast: outside stitching and allergies. (Hopefully you only have one of those to look forward to.) I spent last weekend hacking up the bushes in my backyard (and hiding the evidence behind our laundry shed because my landlady doesn't believe in yard bins) so that I can pull out a camping chair and stitch in the sunshine this weekend.
I know some of you don't like to knit in the summer because you break a sweat with a half-done sweater sitting on your lap. But embroidery is nice because you can do it year-round. Just swap out your comfy couch for a lawn chair and your cocoa for some lemonade.
To get you ready for some spring stitching, I thought I'd give you a little peek at the next few designs coming to the Super Stitchers' Club.
