Our 2015 Gift Guide

November 19, 2015 Megan Eckman

If you're still a little unclear about what to give your crafty family and friends, we've made a little gift guide to help you pick.

For the total crafting beginner:
Our starter kit is designed for someone who has never sewn in their life or who might be intimidated by embroidery. The kit comes with all of our usual supplies but it also has a 16-page stitch guide booklet that teaches the 4 basic stitches I use in my kits.

For the new mom:
These sleeping foxes make great nursery room art. The embroidery kit is simple to sew and oh so cute! Our best-seller by far. This is also the kit I tell people to pick up if they want to start with something easy.

 For the photographer/gardener:

Our small botanical kits are based on 19th century cyanotypes (sun prints). Their easy designs look striking on dark blue and they definitely pop off a white wall. I personally have all three of these hanging up as a little collection in my studio.

For the kids (or kids at heart):
This painted elephant ornament kitadds a little spice to any Christmas tree. It can be stitched up by hand in an hour and is a great crafting project for kids.

For the experienced crafter:
For those who love their sewing machine, we have a fun line of stuffed animal kits. This fancy llama is by far my favorite. Don't you just love his tassels? The boxes contain everything (even the stuffing) needed to make an animal and we have a new video series on our website with step by step directions in case the recipient prefers video to written directions.
