There is a hotel in Africa where giraffes stick their heads in the windows to join you for breakfast or say goodnight. My studio resembled that hotel this past week as I stitched up a few fabric-test giraffes. The small herd posed for Instagram pictures and then promptly invaded my Chief Napping Officer's office (presently a box in the bedroom).
These new stuffed animals will be in the shop as kits soon. They are getting shown off at this weekend's Urban Craft Uprising Fair in Seattle to see how people react. Since these giraffes don't require any embroidery skills, they take much less time to make and are easier for beginners. Plus, less sewing time means more play time.
