“Glamis Ghost Stories”

Eckman used ghost stories about the monster of Glamis castle in Scotland as structure for the peaceful pen and ink illustration of Glamis’ gardens. The concept of calm overshadowing terror echoes the reality of the castle, which is still haunted to this day.
