Have you ever read any Karen Russell? She has an amazingly whimsical collection of short stories titled "St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves" and a novel based on one of the stories titled "Swamplandia!" I've never read the novel, but the stories are amazing. They seem right down your alley.

Oh no! I've never lost anything yet at an airport but I have gotten stuck in a bathroom stall thanks to my carry-on luggage. I actually had to crawl out under the stall next to me. So embarrassing.

When I was 17 on the way back from visiting my brother in Philadelphia, I left my pleather jacket that I LOVED in the bathroom stall in Chicago where I transferred planes. By the time I landed in Toledo I was SOBBING. I doubt you'll be that dramatic, so you should be good to go.

Thanks! Haha, yes, it seems everyone learned cross-hatching in high school. It's just silly people like me who actually enjoyed it. :)

This is going to look amazing! I already love the way you did the rocks!

It reminds me of when my art teacher had me do these pen and ink exercises with all sorts of lines. I wasn't really excited about it back then, but now I see how truly awesome it can be! It's so 3D, yet when you look closer it's all lines. I love it!

Happy belated birthday!

Sounds like you had a great day!

And no, you're not old at all! 25 is a great age, where you're mature enough to do what you want and be taken seriously, yet are still young and in great shape.
Now, I'm sounding old haha, though I'm even younger than you are;)

Love this idea!! I have to admit that I get really creeped out by the idea of big sea creatures.. I love swimming but when I go out really far and stare down into the water for too long I end up scaring myself and have to swim back as fast as I can. Silly imagination!
