I don’t know where this month, let alone this year, has gone to but suddenly it’s the middle of March and I realized I’ve been so busy with my 365 Portrait Challenge that I haven’t kept you in the loop much.  I have a lot of things going on so I thought I’d share it all now instead of sending you a slew of newsletters.

The 365 Portrait Challenge

This daily portrait challenge is still going strong!  A big thanks to everyone who has sent me photos so far.   I’m having a blast drawing them.  If you haven’t submitted your photo yet, feel free to send them to me at megan@studiomme.com.

Tea Pirates as an E-book!

It’s taken longer than I thought but How to Outsmart Tea Pirates (and other useful sailing tips) will be available next week as an e-book package for every device possible.  This way you’ll be able to take the tea pirates everywhere you go!

Wooden Brooches

I’m so excited about these wooden brooches!  They’re being laser cut right now and that means come April, they’ll be making their grand appearance.  Each one will have its own story and they’ll make you the cooler than the cat’s pajamas.

Chicago!

My boyfriend and I spent 4 days in Chicago last week while he spoke at a national photography convention.  He did so well!  He’s even been asked to come back and speak at an art college.  While in Chicago we visited all the sites, including the Sear’s Tower, where they have little glass boxes you can stand in and look down at the pavement 108 stories below.  The trip made us realize we want to travel a lot more, giving talks, meeting with gallery owners, and connecting with local artists.

 Creativity Course

I’ve got something big up my sleeve coming out in May!  This past month I’ve been working on a course on creativity.  So many people I talk to feel they’re not creative or they feel like something in them is suppressed.  I’m putting together a little series of emails that will help you expand your imagination, think outside the box, play more, and embrace the fact that you DO have a creative bone in your body…if not 206!

And Lastly…

I want to thank you for sticking with me over these last few months when I’ve been so busy.  I’ve got a lot of stories in store for you these next few weeks to make it up to you.  I hope your year has been a little less jam-packed than mine!

I’ve been following along with your portrait challenge but I didn’t know you were accepting submissions. Eek! I’d love to see how you would draw my portrait. Can I send you a picture?
