When I was little, I had more books than friends.  Heck, I had twenty times more books than friends.  Thanks to package that arrived this weekend, I can now I can say that I have two more books to add to my bookshelf.  And I illustrated the covers!!!

The author of these amazing children’s books is a local, San Jose writer.  He saw my art at a fair and asked if I would be interested in illustrating the books he was writing for his children.  I couldn’t say, “YES!” fast enough.  Who wouldn’t want to work with an author to create a masterpiece of fiction and ink?

If you have a child who loves adventure books, they’ll definitely enjoy Gwendolyn and the Seeds of Destiny and Aethelred and the Wand of Woe.  You can find out more on the books on his site HERE.

Since I still have one year left in my cat-waiting-period, I couldn’t help but share this picture of Roy’s cat guarding the books.  I feel good knowing that my books are being protected from enemies by this guy.  Don’t you wish you had a cat book guardian?
